"It’s a family business all right!"

Decorating Kids Rooms NewpaperThe media has done a very nice job of describing Look What I Drawed!™ KidArt Company as a family business in the truest sense. Not only is it run by a family, but it also caters to families, by creating unique and original, legacy childrens wall art.

Hi, this is Doug Lietz. I'm writing to you as the Entrepreneur Dad, at

Look What I Drawed!™ KidArt Co.

My main function is to take care of

all the business, marketing and publicity stuff - things that I love to do, but not necessarily things you want to hear about. So... I'll move right along...

From the introductory childrens wall art videos on the home page of this web site, you will have already met Cindy Lietz. She is my lovely wife (of 21 years); business partner; plus Artist and Mom here at Look What I Drawed!™ KidArt Company.

Then there's our 2 really great kids. Willow with her hot pink sleeves over to the far left (she's 11). And Fisher (age 8) sporting his surfer dude Puca shell necklace. Their main jobs are... you guessed it... drawing and coloring!

Cindy Lietz Painting Childrens Wall Art Canvas

“There is nothing more inspiring, or truly delightful than something drawn through the eyes of a child. My passion is to help preserve and showcase childrens art in a way that creates a legacy of memories for us as parents... and perhaps more importantly, for our children, as they grow up to begin families of their own.”

It All Started Way Back in 1968

That's when my mom [Doug's mom], had the foresight to store away some childhood artwork in a box for safe keeping. Little did she know that these precious keepsakes would eventually fall into the hands of her future daughter-in-law, Cindy. They were to become the inspiration for the first ever, Look What I Drawed!™ Childrens Wall Art Paintings.

But I jumped through that story just a little too quickly. Prior to actually painting the first ever Look What I Drawed!™canvases, Cindy spent 10 years developing her skills as a professional artist; hosting a decorating television show; and teaching night-school classes focused on creating one-of-a-kind home decor accents.

"A Whale of a Good Idea!”

Look What I Drawed! Newspaper ArticleThen in late 2003, Cindy was officially discovered along with her unique Look What I Drawed!™ style of art. She was commissioned to paint a life size statue of a baby orca whale for public display in the City of Vancouver, Canada. Her magnificent mural of childrens art was a huge hit that helped raise donations for the Easter Seals and Canucks for Kids charity foundations.

Plus, as the "super mom" of our two young children (Willow and Fisher) she continues to actively volunteer with numerous kids-art related activities at the primary school level.

Here’s what School Teachers

Are Saying About Cindy…

patience and a caring nature. She enthusiastically encourages

all their efforts. Cindy is passionate about children’s art. We

are happy to have her as a resource for project ideas.”

“...the students take increased pleasure in their artwork because of the experience of having their ideas valued by Mrs. Lietz.”

The level of excitement and interest that she generated made a lasting impression on their learning experience. Cindy’s kindness

Even the Mayor

had Something to Say…

Wilfried Vicktor, Past-Mayor District of Hope

Look What I Drawed!™ Finds A Home

Providing Families with Timeless Decor That is Sure to Leave a Legacy.

Ever since the 9-11 terrorist attacks, there has been a growing interest in decorating childrens bedrooms and family homes with simpler designs. Decor that's reminiscent of our own childhood days... when life was much less hectic. A safe haven for our kids.

In the Chicago Tribune, Michael Hill wrote: "Parents say they find comfort in the timeless looks. Psychologists suggest parents also might be trying to create cocoons that conjure more kid-friendly times before 24-hour news, terrorism and technological overload."

Look What I Drawed!™KidArt Company fits into this niche perfectly. Our Legacy Childrens Wall Art Paintings will provide you with endearing nostalgia, professional esthetics and family values... not only for today... but also for generations to come.

"To Live, to Love, to Leave a Legacy."

Stephen Covey, best selling author and speaker, wasn't specifically thinking of us when he originally wrote those eight concise words.

However, I wanted to share them with you because they do a great job of summarizing our entire mission statement better than anything else I know.
